Game
Story: the heirs who have to mowST
Why four spoiled heirs end up mowing lawns. The intro cinematic (the good life, the morning dad cuts you off, the drop-off at grandma's), Chad's scene, and the story beats around them.
You had everything, and you never asked where it came from. One morning after one party too many, dad cancels the cards, sells the mansion and leaves for the Caribbean. All you and your three siblings get is grandma's old house in a tired part of town and her rusty mower. The intro has to make you love the life you just lost, laugh at the brats you are, and want it all back.
The player's view
The good life. The game opens on a flyover: the sea, palm trees, a white mansion on a hill, a pool, a lawn crew mowing perfect stripes that you've never noticed. Your own voice tells you how good life is while the four of you belly-flop off the diving board, drive the red sports car down the coast road, buy a whole row of watches without looking at the price and party on a yacht with Chad, who films everything. You drive home. The screen goes black. A splash.
The morning after. Your phone wakes you up: your new car order was declined. You walk past the old one, nose down in the pool, to the breakfast terrace where dad reads the paper and mom sips orange juice. You and your siblings complain like the spoiled heirs you are. Dad tells you the cards are gone and the house is sold. You laugh at him, and for the first time in your life he snaps. He built his garden company with one mower, in grandma's yard, and sold it so you'd never have to work. You never did. Grandma's house is yours now. Pack one bag.
The drop-off. The parents' car pulls up in front of grandma's house: a dumpster on the lawn, the lawn a forest. Only the siblings who play get out; the others got dropped at a boyfriend's or a girlfriend's on the way, and will turn up when they get kicked out. Dad hands over the keys and shows you the garage where it all started. You swear you'll buy the mansion back. Mom slips you an envelope when dad isn't looking, and they drive off to the airport. The game starts.
Always four. The mansion scenes always show all four siblings, so the intro says it from the first minute: this is a game for up to four. You are always the star on your own screen: your face, your voice, you narrate and talk back to dad. Your friends' siblings play the other three parts with their own faces and voices; the parts nobody plays get default siblings. Solo or co-op, it's the same scene and the same lines.
The story after the intro (beats owned by other specs): grandma's sticky notes and calls and dad's voicemails teach the game, Mrs. Higgins is the first paying client (J2), Chad crashes the end of the tutorial (ST9), his video ends the MVP (ST10), and the long goal is the mansion (ST7, ST8).
Ideas
ST1: the good life
The opening montage. Golden hour, every shot on a fixed camera path. Music: a soft lounge track plays low under the whole montage, under the voice-over, and cuts dead at the splash. It's the only music in the intro: the morning after (ST2) and the drop-off (ST3) have none, just birds, the pool filter, the street.
Who's who. Four siblings are in every mansion shot. YOU is the lead, who narrates and talks to dad: on each screen, that screen's own player. SIB2, SIB3 and SIB4 are the other three: the other connected players' siblings (in joining order), then default siblings (Co-op). Every sibling line is voiced in all eight sibling voices and plays in that sibling's own voice (SI2); their faces are the ones made before the game (SI1). There is one version of every line: solo and co-op play the same script. Lines in brackets are voice directions (ElevenLabs tags), not spoken.
Shot 1: the flyover
The camera comes in low over the sea, climbs past the palms on the hill and drifts over the mansion: white walls, terraces, the pool, a striped lawn. A GreenCorp van is parked in the drive.
- YOU (voice-over): [smug, relaxed] This is our house. Well. Dad's house. Which is basically our house.
Shot 2: the lawn crew
The camera passes a lawn crew in GreenCorp green polos (a quiet plant: dad sold his company to them), mowing perfect stripes in the heat. One of them wipes their forehead.
- YOU (voice-over): [lazily] Somebody mows the lawn. We don't know who. [pause] We've never asked.
Shot 3: the dive
YOU on the diving board in swimwear and sunglasses, posing. A perfect slow-motion dive... that ends in a belly flop. SIB2 drifts by on a pink flamingo float and gets flipped over by the wave; SIB3 doesn't notice, on a lounger with cucumber slices on their eyes; SIB4 cannonballs in after. YOU surfaces, googly eyes spinning, and gives a thumbs-up to nobody.
- YOU (voice-over): [proudly] I wake up at noon. I swim. Sometimes I dive. [pause] I'm very good at diving.
Shot 4: the coast road
The red sports car, top down, along the coast road, palms whipping past, YOU driving with one finger. SIB2 rides shotgun with their arms up; SIB3 and SIB4 are squeezed into the tiny back seat, knees to their chins.
- YOU (voice-over): [dreamy] Then we drive somewhere. Anywhere. It doesn't matter. The car is the point.
Shot 5: the watch store
One counter, a glass wall of watches, a nervous clerk. The four of you in suits and sunglasses (indoors). YOU points along the display; SIB3 tries on five watches per arm; SIB4 naps on the velvet bench. The card taps the terminal: a green light and a cheerful ding.
- YOU: [bored] That one. That one. [pause] Actually, just... that whole row.
- CLERK: [delighted, a little scared] Of course! Card?
- SIB2: [leaning in] Can I have the row next to that row?
- YOU (voice-over): [casually] I have a card. It's black. It has no limit. [pause] I think it's made of metal. I've never looked.
Shot 6: the yacht club
Night. A yacht at the pier, string lights, a champagne tower. Chad (popped collar, sunglasses at night) films on his phone while YOU and Chad jump off the deck into the harbor in their suits. SIB2 dances alone on the bow, SIB3 is asleep on a deck chair inside a lifebuoy, SIB4 hugs the champagne tower.
- YOU (voice-over): [warmly] At night, we go to the yacht club with Chad. Chad is my best friend. [pause] Chad films everything.
- CHAD: [shouting] Dude! DUDE! Say hi to my followers!
- YOU: [shouting] Hi, poor people!
Shot 7: the drive home
The red car leaves the pier in a wobbly line, four heads in it. Cut to the mansion gate at night, the car's lights sweeping past it. Black. In the dark: the engine, a palm tree going bonk, a long skid, a huge splash. Silence. One pool float squeaks.
- YOU (voice-over, before the splash): [content sigh] Life is good. Life is really, really good.
What Blender builds for ST1
Partial sets: only what the camera sees, everything else left out (see Tech). The flyover mansion (the whole silhouette, simple far side), the pool and terrace (also ST2's hero set), one stretch of coast road with palms and a sea backdrop, the watch store (one counter, one display wall, the velvet bench, the door), the yacht deck at the pier with its lights, the lawn crew (the existing client rig in polos, the existing mowers), the red sports car (the existing model). The siblings' outfits: swimwear, suit, party clothes. Props: the flamingo float, cucumber slices, the lifebuoy, the champagne tower. Chad's model. Animations: dive and belly flop, cannonball, drive, pointing, jumping off a deck, dancing, sleeping.
Needs: the cinematic player (built, CinematicSync) · Done when: a new game opens on the flyover and plays the
seven shots with final art, all four siblings in their places and every line voiced in all eight voices, solo and in
2-player co-op (each instance shows its own player as the lead and the other as SIB2), both instances at
the same moment.
ST2: the morning after
The talk that sets the story up. The same mansion set the next morning. No music (it stopped at the splash): birds and the pool filter.
Shot 8: declined
The corner of a huge bed, a window, morning light. YOU face down in a sleep mask, SIB2 asleep across the foot of the bed in a tuxedo. The phone buzzes on the nightstand; YOU gropes for it without lifting the mask.
- YOU: [groggy] Hey phone. Order the car again. Same one. Same red. [yawns] Deliver it to the pool, I guess.
- PHONE: [cheerful synthetic voice] Payment declined.
- YOU: [sleepy] ...Declined? [pause] [waking up] Declined. Me?
- SIB2: [asleep, mumbling] Five more minutes... of yacht.
YOU lifts the mask, one googly eye open. The phone shows a red cross and buzzes sadly (an icon, no text).
Shot 9: the car in the pool
YOU shuffles out in a bathrobe through the glass doors. The red car is nose down in the deep end, tail lights still blinking, a flamingo float on its bumper and a palm tree floating next to it. The lawn crew stands at the edge, staring at it. YOU walks past without looking.
Shot 10: breakfast
The terrace above the pool. Dad in a golf polo, reading the paper. Mom in a sun hat, orange juice. SIB2 walks in behind YOU eating cereal out of a punch bowl; SIB3 floats in the pool below on the flamingo float, next to the car; SIB4 is asleep on a lounger with a lampshade on their head.
- YOU: [casually] Morning, Dad. Morning, Mom. [pause] Small thing.
- DAD: [without looking up] Is it the car in the pool?
- YOU: It's the car in the pool. [pause] I'd had a few. [pause] Okay, more than a few. [proudly] But I parked it! Kind of.
- MOM: [gently] Honey, there's a palm tree in the deep end too.
- YOU: Anyway. I tried to order a new one this morning and my card got DECLINED. [offended] Declined, Dad. Like a regular person.
- SIB2: [outraged] Mine too! At the pizza place! At four A.M.!
- SIB3 (from the pool): [outraged] Mine got declined at the car wash. The CAR WASH.
- YOU: [suspicious] Did you lower our limits? Because I feel poor. I've never felt poor. It feels... [shudders] drafty.
- DAD (folding the paper): [sighs] I didn't lower your limits, kids. [pause] I cancelled the cards.
- YOU: [laughs] Okay. Good one.
- DAD: All of them. [tired] I'm done, kids. It's time you grew up and took care of yourselves.
- DAD: And there's more. Your mother and I are selling the house. [pause] We're retiring to the Caribbean.
- YOU: [laughing hard] The Caribbean! YOU? Dad, you get sunburned in the shower.
- YOU: [mocking, deep voice] "I'm retiring." [normal voice, laughing] Retiring from what? You don't DO anything. You just sit there and have money.
- SIB3: [giggling] Who's going to sign our checks? The seagulls?
Dad slams the table. The cups jump. SIB4 wakes up with a snort, lampshade still on. Silence; the pool float squeaks.
- DAD: [loud] ENOUGH.
- DAD: [angry, controlled] I built a garden company with one mower. In your grandma's yard. Thirty years of other people's lawns. Then I sold it to GreenCorp so my kids would never have to work a day in their lives.
- DAD: [bitter laugh] Well, it worked. [pause] You're all past thirty.
- YOU: [offended] Thirty-one and a half. [flatly] Emotionally, twelve.
- DAD: [firmly] And not one of you has ever done ANYTHING but spend money you think falls from the sky. [tired] It doesn't fall from the sky, kids. It grows. Like grass. Somebody has to cut it.
- MOM: [softly] Your father's right, kids. [pause] [whispers] He's a little bit right.
- YOU: [small voice] So... where do we live? A hotel? [hopeful] A nice hotel?
- DAD: [calmer] Grandma moved into the seaside home last year. Her house is empty. It's yours now. Live in it, start a business, do something. Anything. [firmly] Just do it yourselves.
- YOU: Grandma's house? [horrified] On Primrose Lane? That's where the bus goes to die.
- YOU: The whole street smells like soup, Dad. There's a man who yells at pigeons. [pause] And the pigeons yell BACK.
- SIB4 (lampshade on): [hopefully] Does it even have Wi-Fi?
- DAD: It has a phone. With a cord.
- SIB4: [horrified whisper] A cord...
- DAD (standing up): [too cheerful] Pack a bag, kids. ONE bag each. We leave in an hour.
- YOU: [pleading] Mom?
- MOM (patting YOU's cheek): [warmly] Pack the sunscreen, kids.
Behind them, the car sinks the rest of the way: glub. Cut.
What Blender builds for ST2
The bedroom corner (bed, nightstand, window, phone), the pool and terrace from ST1 by morning light with the car in the deep end (the sports car model tilted, wet), the floating palm, the breakfast table (cups, orange juice, the paper, a punch bowl), a lounger and a lampshade. Outfits: YOU in a sleep mask and a bathrobe, SIB2 in a tuxedo, SIB3 in swimwear, SIB4 in last night's party clothes, dad in a golf polo, mom in a sun hat. Animations: groping for the phone, lifting the mask, shuffling, eating, floating, waking with a start, sitting at breakfast, dad folding the paper and slamming the table, laughing, mom patting a cheek. Faces use the existing expressions.
Needs: ST1 · Done when: after ST1, the three shots play with final art, all four siblings in their places and every line voiced in all eight voices, solo and in 2-player co-op.
ST3: the drop-off, re-scripted
The built intro at grandma's house stays (the parents' car, the keys, mom's envelope), but it no longer repeats the news: ST2 told it. Only the siblings who have a player get out of the car. It gains the missing siblings' excuse, dad's first lawn and the promise to buy the house back. Lines marked kept already have their clip; the kept lines that have a solo and a co-op variant keep both, as built.
- DAD: [cheerfully] Here we are! Grandma's house. [pause] Exactly how she left it. In nineteen seventy-four. kept
- YOU: [flatly] Dad. There's a dumpster on the lawn. And the lawn is a forest. kept
- MOM: [warmly] Grandma says hello. [pause] And don't touch her room. She'll know. kept
- when fewer than four siblings play:
- YOU: [looking around] Wait. Where's everybody else?
- DAD: Got dropped at a boyfriend's on the way. Or a girlfriend's. [pause] Somebody's couch. [cheerfully] They'll turn up when they get kicked out.
- DAD (patting the garage door): [proudly] That's where it all started. My first lawn. Her mower's still in there. Rusty, but she's got heart.
- DAD: Keys to the house. Keys to grandma's car. Mow a few lawns, make a few friends. [warmly] You'll love it.
- YOU: [flatly] Lawns. [pause] [dramatically] I'm going to be rich again, Dad. I'm going to buy the house BACK. I'm going to build an EMPIRE.
- DAD: [excited] That's the spirit! First job: grandma's garden. [pause] It's a jungle. [cheerfully] I'll start the car. kept
- MOM: [whispers] Psst. Take this. For groceries. [pause] Don't tell your father. kept (co-op: "Share it." kept)
- DAD: [shouting] Honey? What are you doing? kept
- MOM: [innocently] Nothing, dear! Fixing a collar! kept
- DAD: [shouting] Love you, kiddo! Mow straight! kept (co-op: "Love you, kids!" kept)
The parents' car drives off with the suitcases and a flamingo float strapped to the roof.
Retired lines: dad's "Your mother and I are retiring to the seaside..." (both variants), YOU's "Twenty-nine and a half" (the joke moved to ST2 with the right age), YOU's "Lawns. Me." and "Lawns. Us." empire lines (one new line adds buying the house back), and dad's "Keys to the house..." (the mower part moved to his first-lawn line).
Needs: ST2 · Done when: after ST2, the drop-off plays the new lines and none of the retired ones; solo and in 2-player co-op, the missing siblings' excuse plays and only the players' siblings stand on the curb.
ST4: skipping and the recap
Each part (ST1, ST2, ST3) can be skipped on its own: one skip jumps to the next part, so a player who has seen the montage can still watch the talk. Only the host can skip, as built. The intro plays once, on a new game. A player who skips must still learn the facts, so dad's first voicemail, "from the airport", recaps them:
- DAD (voicemail): [cheerfully] It's Dad, from the airport! In case you were sulking at breakfast: no cards, the house is sold, grandma's house is yours. [pause] And grandma wants her garden mowed TODAY. She asked twice. It's on her calendar. Love you, kids!
It replaces the built "It's Dad, from the car!" voicemail.
Needs: ST3 · Done when: skipping ST1 starts ST2, skipping ST2 starts ST3, skipping ST3 starts play, and the airport voicemail is waiting on the answering machine either way.
ST5: a sibling turns up
The payoff of dad's "they'll turn up when they get kicked out": when a player joins the company for the first time after the intro, their sibling arrives at grandma's: a car stops at the curb, a suitcase flies out of the window, the car leaves, and the sibling walks up the lawn with one line ("She kept the dog. And the TV. And my phone charger."). The others can watch or keep working.
ST6: the mansion's district
The mansion is not visible from grandma's town. Later it's a real place in its own district (the rich hills), with its pool, its palms and its lawn: you could drive past it, see the new owner's changes (dad's voicemail mentions a hot tub where your bedroom was), maybe even get hired to mow it.
ST7: who bought the mansion
Dad sells to a buyer the intro never names. Who it is (Chad's father, GreenCorp, a stranger) and how that changes buying it back is decided with the ending.
ST8: the ending, buy it back or stay
The long goal: buy the mansion back and go back to the old life, or stay in grandma's house, self-made. The siblings stay lovable jerks either way; dad's voicemail when you buy it is already written.
ST9: Chad crashes the end of the tutorial
The second and last short scene of the MVP. Right after Mrs. Higgins pays you at her door (J2, EC8), the first money
you ever earned, the siblings step back onto the sidewalk and a red sports car pulls up, music blasting from its
radio, and parks in front of grandma's house: Chad, the same model as the car in the pool. He wasn't sure it was you.
He films you, mocks you, your money and grandma's house, and drives off laughing. Story mark ChadMet. Like the
intro, it's one script for 1 to 4 players, on CinematicSync, with each screen's own player as YOU; Chad calls
everybody "bro". Every connected sibling is pulled into the scene wherever they are, as for the intro. Draft lines,
to agree before voicing:
- CHAD (lowering his sunglasses): [disbelief] Wait. WAIT. [laughing] No way. Is that... you? Bro, I drove past twice. I thought you were a homeless guy.
- YOU: [flatly] Hi, Chad.
- CHAD: The yacht club said you moved to "a neighborhood". I thought it was a joke. [looking at grandma's house] Bro. Is this a house for poor people? Do you live in there? [filming] Say hi to my followers!
- YOU: [through gritted teeth] Hi, followers.
- CHAD: What are you even doing out here?
- YOU: Working.
- CHAD: [cackling] WORKING! [to the phone] Guys. GUYS. My friend has a JOB!
- CHAD (looking at the bills in your hand): [gasps] Is that cash? From an old lady? [laughing] Bro, I tip my valet more than that.
- CHAD (looking at grandma's pink hatchback): Love the new car, by the way. [pause] Is it electric? Is it a toaster?
- CHAD (driving off): [shouting] YOU'RE the poor people now! Keep mowing, bro! This is going on my channel!
Needs: ST3, J2, the red sports car and Chad from ST1 · Done when: right after Mrs. Higgins pays, both instances in 2-player co-op see the scene once, at the same moment, with Chad parked in front of grandma's house; the calls start the next morning as before; old saves that already met Chad skip it.
ST10: the end of the MVP, Chad's video goes viral
The MVP's last beat. After the five days of calls (J3), the morning paper (UI9) makes the ending: Chad's video of you went viral. It ends the MVP on a laugh and a reason to want revenge, and costs almost nothing, since the paper and its in-engine photo exist.
- When: the morning after the fifth day of calls (the days counted from the morning after Mrs. Higgins). The siblings wake up as usual (TU4); the paper on the doormat at 7:00 is the last one.
- The front page: the headline "Yacht Heir Now Mows Lawns, Bro Says"; the photo is UI9's in-engine shot from where Chad filmed: the siblings on the sidewalk in front of grandma's house, as they look today, with the mower and the pink hatchback; the caption counts the views ("2.3 million views and counting"). Around the Lane has one line about Chad's red car, the rest as usual.
- Reading it ends the MVP: closing the paper (the first sibling to read it, every sibling sees it the same
moment, host-driven like a cinematic) fades to a card: "To be continued." Then two choices: Keep mowing (the
calls go on, nothing new comes; never a dead end) or Back to the title. The game saves at the card (MN2) and
the story mark
MvpEndmakes it play once. - Co-op: the end plays on every connected sibling's screen at once; a sibling who joins later doesn't see it again.
Needs: ST9, J3, UI9 · Done when: on the morning after the fifth day of calls, both instances in 2-player co-op read the viral headline with the siblings' photo, see "To be continued" at the same moment, and Keep mowing carries on with the calls; a save loaded after it doesn't replay it.
ST11: Chad books you for a laugh
After his scene, Chad books you "for a laugh": his lawn, somewhere rich, mowed while he films it, so you'd better do it well (his traits are in CH3). Then the running gag: drive-bys on the street, his posts, the headlines. Where he lives and how big his lawn is are open (characters.md). Moved out of the MVP on 2026-10-03 (the user: simpler; the MVP ends on the paper, ST10).
Tuning
| Name | Value | Idea | What it does / why |
|---|---|---|---|
montageLength | ~60 s | ST1 | Long enough to love the life, short enough that nobody reaches for skip. |
morningLength | ~150 s | ST2 | The story's only long scene; the jokes carry it. |
dropOffLength | ~60 s | ST3 | Trimmed from the built drop-off, since the news moved to ST2. |
introTotal | ≤ 4 min | ST1-ST3 | The whole intro before you hold the mower. |
montageMusic | low, ducked under the voice | ST1 | A bed for the good life, never louder than the narration; cut at the splash. |
Co-op
- Who owns it: the host. The intro runs on the built
CinematicSync: the host starts each part, every connected player watches the same shot at the same moment, only the host skips (ST4). - Who is who, per screen: each machine casts its own player as YOU, the lead. The other connected players fill SIB2, SIB3 and SIB4 in joining order (skipping the local player), then default siblings. So with two players, the host sees themselves narrate and the guest as SIB2, and the guest sees the opposite. The cast is worked out locally from who is connected: nothing extra to sync, and the timing stays shared. Each sibling's lines play in that sibling's voice (SI2).
- One script: the mansion scenes (ST1, ST2) are the same for 1 to 4 players: always four siblings, one version of every line. Only the drop-off (ST3) depends on who plays: who gets out of the car, and the missing siblings' excuse when fewer than four play.
- State: nothing new. The intro only reads who is connected; it ends with the built
FinishIntroCommand(host-only). - Late joiners: a player who joins during the intro skips it (the built rule) and gets the airport voicemail like everyone. A player who joins later still has a sibling arriving (ST5).
- Solo: YOU plus three default siblings. Same code path.
Tech
Default siblings. The three siblings without a player have fixed default names and looks: SIB2 Tiffany (a
sister), SIB3 Trip (a brother), SIB4 Muffy (a sister), each with its own hair and eyes from the existing Looks,
and the voices nobody picked (SI2). When a
player fills a slot, their own face and voice (SI1, SI2) replace the default for that slot.
Partial sets. Every shot has a fixed camera path, so Blender builds only what that camera sees: one corner of the bedroom, one counter of the watch store, one deck of the yacht, a strip of coast road in front of a sea backdrop. Sets are reused where they can be: the pool and terrace serve shots 3, 9 and 10. The mansion's full exterior is the one big model, kept simple on the side the flyover doesn't show.
| Set or asset | Shots | Exists? |
|---|---|---|
| Mansion exterior, pool, terrace, palms, striped lawn | 1, 2, 3, 7, 9, 10 | build_mansion, build_pool (simple, need the detail) |
| Coast road strip + sea backdrop | 4 | new |
| Watch store (counter, display wall, velvet bench, door) + clerk | 5 | new (clerk on the client rig) |
| Yacht deck at the pier, string lights, champagne tower | 6 | new |
| Bedroom corner (bed, nightstand, window, phone) | 8 | new |
| Breakfast table, cups, juice, punch bowl, newspaper (no text) | 10 | new |
| Pool props: flamingo float, lounger, cucumber slices, lampshade, lifebuoy | 3, 6, 10 | new |
| Red sports car, dry and in the pool | 4, 7, 9 | build_sports_car |
| Lawn crew in GreenCorp polos, GreenCorp van | 1, 2, 9 | client rig, existing mowers, van model to check |
| Sibling outfits: swimwear, suit, party, bathrobe, tuxedo | 3-10 | new (outfit palettes on the sibling rig, plus a few accessory meshes: sunglasses, tie, sleep mask) |
| Dad (golf polo), mom (sun hat), Chad | 6, 10, ST3 | dad and mom exist; Chad new |
Order of work. First an animatic in Unity: grey boxes for the sets, the camera paths, temporary voice takes. We watch it and fix the timing. Then the final voice takes, then the Blender art set by set.
Voices. New casts: Chad, the watch clerk, the phone (a cheerful synthetic voice). Every YOU and SIB line is
generated in the eight sibling voices (SI2) through Game Mower/Export Voice Lines and the voice flow (see the voices
pipeline in Architecture › voices). Lines get generated only after the user
agrees on this script. Built lines to retire or rewrite: the ones listed in ST3 and ST4, plus dad's voicemail about
seeing the mansion "from the train" (he's in the Caribbean now: his line needs a new way to have heard, like mom
seeing the listing online).
Code. Assets/_Game/Scripts/Garage/IntroScene.cs plays the drop-off today; ST1 and ST2 play before it, in their
own scene with the partial sets, on the same CinematicSync. No save change; no randomness.
Open questions
- The logo: does the game's logo come in over the black after the splash (end of ST1), or at the very end of the intro?
Rejected
- The host as the lead on every screen: the same film for everyone, but guests would only get the smaller parts. Each player stars on their own screen instead.
- Solo and co-op versions of the mansion scenes: always four siblings and one script. Simpler, and it shows from the first minute that the game is for up to four.
- Replaying the intro from the menu: it plays once, on a new game.
- A night club for the party: the yacht club introduces Chad (your old yacht-club friend), so his scene after the tutorial lands.
- Showing the crash: a black screen and a splash are funnier, and the car in the pool the next morning is the payoff.
- Repeating the cut-off news at the drop-off: ST2 tells it; the drop-off would say it twice.
- The parents retiring to the seaside: grandma lives at the seaside now; the parents go to the Caribbean.
- Seeing the mansion from grandma's street: it will be in its own district later (ST6); a ride may pass its hill (DY2).
